I’m aware that many people already know this, however it is essential to point out that the Haynes manual for your particular motorcycle is probably the most important thing to buy before going to work on your bike. Referring to YouTube and here can be beneficial at times, but it wasn’t until I bought the Haynes manual for my FZ07 that it became 100% certain that you need a guide like that especially if you’re not well versed or handy with tools yet.
