Harley and tech (discuss)

I'm assuming some of the HD die-hards will say "fuck this post" but I've been thinking about this recently and want to pose a question that hopefully gets a good discussion going, so we can hear all sides of it.If HD took their Bosch IMU for the Livewire (enabling cornering ABS and lean angle sensitive TC, etc), and stuck it in a Street Bob, I'd be throwing my checkbook at the local dealership to pick one up asap.I get it, that's not Harley's "thing" and thus far the majority of their market hasn't been asking for high tech hotrods. But in my (potentially misguided) opinion, I feel like they're not asking for it because they've never ridden a bike long-term that implements all of these modern safety features well. In an ideal situation with ideal road conditions, sure, you'll hardly ever use this tech; but, from my experience at least, drivers in my city are innattentive and unpredictable, so I can't really see anyone arguing against implementing it in a street legal bike when we all know how inherently dangerous it is to ride on busy public roads. They finally added it to their big boi touring bikes, but the tech on their softails and sportsters is honestly pathetic considering the asking price. And HD wonders why/how Indian is stealing their market share...Maybe they don't care, maybe I'm just not geting it. I mean no disrespect to HD fans, but please, does anyone else feel similarly or have an argument to the contrary? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/eaboud/harley_and_tech_discuss/?utm_source=ifttt
