I'm looking at buying a motorcycle that was deemed a repairable write off in QLD. I live in NSW where a repairable write off does not exist. The bike was only dropped so minor damage and easily fixed replacing few parts, and quite cheap for age and kms so makes it very tempting. Does anyone have information or a better understanding of how this can work? My understanding is that once repairs are made, I need them signed off by mechanic and a blue slip issued in QLD, and then can be re-registered in QLD again for a year before it can be transferred to NSW? Can I register the bike in my name at a friend's QLD address? or have to be in their name as I would have no ID stating a QLD residence? Thanks in advance! via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/e87e7j/australia_registration_of_repairable_write_offs/?utm_source=ifttt
