What’s a good beginner bike that i won’t get bored of in couple of months.

Hi ! I’m looking into getting into riding, I’m from michigan so my riding season is limited. I’m looking for some bike suggestions, a lot of people say that 300/400cc is plenty for a beginner (sports bike). I’m not suicidal and won’t buy a 600cc as a beginner but i also don’t want a bike that i’ll get bored of in matter of months. I was looking into 650cc 2 cylinder bikes like ninja 650. I would appreciate your input and some suggestions on what bike should i choose.
