Riders who bought their first bike new, why did you and did you regret it?

Hi allqJust to confirm, I am one of those 'idiots' who is going to buy the new Honda Rebel 500 2020 once it becomes available.As you guys might have guessed, I have had a host of people telling me to buy used and I'm essentially stupid for buying new.
