Considering pulling the trigger on a new R3 or used R6 to take to the track. Been riding street for about 5 years on a number of different bikes. FZ07 for the past few years until earlier this year I traded for a Tracer 900. Love the Tracer, commute on it almost every day and ride it in the canyons 2-3 times a month. Tried out a few track days on it and fell in love with track riding but I want something more nimble/track focused.I’ve seen plenty of R3 vs R6 posts for beginners. I’m not an expert by any means, but I’m comfortable and have fun with powerful bikes on the street. I AM DEFINITELY a beginner track rider. Anybody have advice on which bike to get? I’d occasionally commute on it but it’s mainly going to be a track bike. I have only been to the local kart track but I would like to eventually move up to bigger tracks. Will the R3 be enough to enjoy and learn on for a few years or should I go straight to an R6 since I already have a feel for larger bikes? via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/dwm42u/r3_or_r6_new_to_track_not_riding/?utm_source=ifttt
