I've been riding everyday for about 3 months now (bought my first bike around July/August). I've pretty much had to teach myself how to ride. The guy I bought it from showed me how to use the bike, but I've had no one else to teach me anything. I'm 19 and don't know anyone else who rides. I want to take a MSF course but I haven't been able to afford it (it's about $300 and I'd have to go out of town for it).Anyway, it's been raining a lot the past couple days, which isn't something I'm not used to (it rained almost everyday the first 2 weeks I started riding daily). However, tonight was the first time I've ridden in the dark while it was raining. I was making a left turn and after seeing the lights of a car in the oncoming lane as I was turning made it a bit harder to see. I turned wider than I should have and ended up over the sidewalk and on the floor in the mud. I immediately shut the bike off and stood up. I had all my gear on, (full face helmet, armored jacket, gloves, and my work boots) so I didn't get hurt or anything and while the left side of my motorcycle was covered in mud, I was almost completely mud free. Some guys stopped and helped me get the bike standing again so that was pretty cool. The rain washed most of the mud off the bike on the remainder of my ride home so I'm not too worried about that, but my left turn signal broke (basically hanging off) but still lights up. I'll inspect it all again when the sun's back up but that's all I noticed after a quick look with a dim flashlight.Really, I just wanted to tell someone that isn't gonna get all worked up about it (family/friends).Bike - '09 Suzuki Boulevard S50 Me - 19, still learning via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/e3aial/miscalculated_the_turn/?utm_source=ifttt
