ALMOST lost it thanks to a rock...

I ride a Suzuki SV1000S. Fairly sporty bike, clip on bars but not super aggressive. You probably know the one.I was riding through a local small city on what is normally a fairly nice road. Two lanes each direction with a center turn lane. Early autumn day, about 65 degrees, fair weather. Early afternoon.Like so many of us, if I’m cruising in light to nearly no traffic, I’ll kinda sit back with just my right hand on the throttle for a minute. Left hand relaxed and off the bar. Kinda supporting myself with my core. Nobody in front, to my side, or behind. No stop lights anywhere near. Perfect chance to relax for a second and just cruise around 40 mph.Well, I managed to go straight over a rock about an inch in diameter that nearly threw me off the bike. It was big enough to cause both wheels to leave the ground momentarily. With one hand on the bar, I had basically no control over the bike at all. Bars fling to the left all the way, back to the right all the way, and my light grip on the throttle ended up giving it a good twist. Needless to say I about pissed myself LOL.Be careful out there folks. I didn’t see that one coming and if I was going a little slower I wouldn’t have had the momentum to stay on the bike. Just when I thought I could relax for a few it almost bit me in the ass. Hopefully you guys can have a good laugh about it because I probably looked like the biggest noob and dork haha. For those reasons: all the gear. All the time.Ride safe. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/dq0llb/almost_lost_it_thanks_to_a_rock/?utm_source=ifttt
