Advice wanted about potential ride from LA to Portland next week

Hey guys... so I’m currently on a two-week vacation, which I’m taking because my mother passed away recently and need some time to finally let it sink in.I was planning to use this time to take my first long motorcycle trip, and while I originally planned to go to Montana, I thought riding from my home in LA to Portland to meet up with a lady friend for a few days would be fun.But now the West Coast is getting slammed with rain (and snow is some parts) and I’ve been checking Accuweather to see the forecast for Monday and Tuesday (the days I had planned on leaving) and there is light rain in some parts of Cali, but overall, those days are sandwiched between days of heavy rain.Should I just sit this one out? Or I can just take it slow and steady since the trip is primarily on one route (the 5 freeway)? I’ve been riding three years and have a 1997 Sportster.
