So, bit of a rant but with good reason, mainly because I want to get it off my chest.Driving my wife into work today, I'm off work at the moment and it's a sneaky way to chat without animals demanding attention.Right hand lane (our fast lane) in peak traffic so doing about 50-60kph, few bikes go past as filtering is legal here, bit irrelevant as this bike was in the middle lane anyway.Car directly in front of me changes lanes, and clips a bike, no indication just went for a gap that wasn't there.Rider keeps it upright, well done too I don't know if I would have, big bloody tuck would have finished him if he hadn't, manoeuvres so he's next to the driver, words are exchanged and they both go to pull over and swap details, I'm a witness so obviously I have to do my part too.Driver of the car goes "na, don't care" and tries to just drive away after almost getting on the shoulder, traffic is shit so both the rider and myself catch up and convince him to pull over, I'm in my old beaten up 4WD ute with the usual bull-bars and rubbish so that half an inch off him may have helped..Gets out of his car, couldn't care less that he hit someone, got shitty with me as "it's none of my business" but as a witness it is as far as I'm concerned, threaten to call police like we hadn't already done that, then after being told they're on the way goes "No damage apart from a dent in my car (so he bloody well knew he'd hit him) was in my blind spot so not my fault (?) and I'm going"Like the dickhead I am I stood in front of his car do he can't move, he dives into me then say's he's going to do me for assault as I hit his car.
