TL;DR here's some pictures https://m.imgur.com/a/yBJM3nSSo my cousin had her first child and my uncle (her dad) wanted to go see it. She lives in Saskatchewan, Canada. We live in Ontario, Canada. My dad and his brothers have gone on bike trips before (usually 5-7000kms). This was my first time joining. My ride is a 2007 1300 Yamaha V Star. My old man rides a 2012 HD Street Glide (104). And my uncle rides a 2010(?) HD Road King (96).We started in Tobermory, Ontario and went North to Sudbury to get my uncle then went West to Sault Ste Marie where we spent the night. We cut into the States in Sault and went through Northern Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota. It rained for 6 straight hours. Not a good start but this turned out to be the only rain we saw.Spent the night in Duluth. Went west to Grand Forks, ND so my uncle could buy some new boots. Then went due North towards Winnipeg and spend the night in Canada. Travelled the rest of the way to Northern Saskatchewan.Trip home we stayed in Canada. Took the TransCanada all the way through.Coldest weather we saw was 0°C as we left Southern Manitoba for our destination. Most of our rides were in about 15° weather. Heated jacket liner was probably the best purchase I made for this trip.We averaged about 750kms a day. Longest leg was 970km.Didn't havent too many close calls. Only saw deer once. Just so happened to be when I was leading too. Couple cars almost pulled out in front of my uncle but they saw him and went back in their lane.Only hiccup of the whole trip was me running out of gas about 7kms from the town we were gonna fill up in. I thought I could make it (343kms when it died). It was such an awesome experience. Met tons of people on the way. Learned a ton about riding and my bike. I already miss it.Sorry for the long write up. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/dckf9t/got_to_travel_5600kms_with_my_dad_and_uncle_had/?utm_source=ifttt
