Feeling endangered by competitive drivers in Utah

Lane filtering just became a law a few months ago in Utah and some drivers don’t understand. This just happened today while riding my CB750K. I filtered to the front of a light, and apparently this upset the two cars on either side of me. The inched their way forward, and when the light turned green, both stepped on the gas (one’s tires even screeched) and sped in front of me. The car in the lane I was in then proceeded to break check me and turn into the parking lot of where they were going. I believe this is one of the first few times I’ve felt endangered on the road by drivers. Usually I stick to the freeway so incidences are rare. My big question is I guess is what do you do at the front of the line to prevent this? Get physically in front of the car? I feel like drivers along the Wasatch front are always in a race with one another. People are always speeding to the next red light. Maybe this is how Mormons get their aggression out lol. It’s crazy to me that someone would drive a car like it’s nothing because of their bloated ego. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/dfpby5/feeling_endangered_by_competitive_drivers_in_utah/?utm_source=ifttt
