Bay Area California MSF (CMSP) - do I suck or are these bikes as bad as they feel?

Today was my (f, 25, 5’3”) first day on the range for the CMSP- it was rough! I’ve been riding scooters for four years (currently on a 125cc zuma) but I didn’t expect it to be this hard. I’m taking the one in SF, if any of you are familiar with it- I’m jealous of all of you posting about getting to ride groms and newer bikes at your msf’s. I spent today on an old Honda nighthawk. The other bikes available were some old Honda rebels, a couple of Suzuki dirt bikes that looked like they were held together by duct tape, and some Sym bikes. I get it, it’s a major city’s only MSF course and these bikes see a lot of abuse! My clutch lever was so loose in its housing, it flopped forward every time I didn’t have my fingers on it. Super far forward for my little hand. Couldn’t find neutral while in gear (was told by my instructor that this bike fights it.) By the end of the day my left hand felt like a claw. I have no clutch muscle, I realize I’ll have to build that up. Also, is it normal for a bike to stall while in first gear/ fully engaged clutch while stationary every time? Or does it need to be fed throttle?I guess I’m looking to know if this bike is... presenting challenges for me, or if I’m just really shitty at riding right now and the shittiness of the bike has nothing to do with it.Thanks in advance. Hope tomorrow goes better.
