I was entertained for a moment when I realized the joke on the car in front of me. A trojan soldier head sticker on a Dodge magnum. When we started getting close to the most busy 4 way intersection in town, I saw a flat bed 18 wheeler stop in the middle of it to avoid turning into a stopped car at the light. Then I see this BMW motorcycle see the truck at the last second taking the same turn and stopped hard and dropped the bike right in the center of the intersection. Magnum guy pulls right over and I ride my bike and park right next to the dropped bike in the intersection. The guy is laying on the ground and I think he is pinned but when get around I see he isn’t so now I’m thinking he’s out cold. When I get really close to him I see it’s like 65 year old guy looking really confused.I start asking him if he’s ok and he starts nodding, puts his face shield up and said he didn’t expect that truck to be there. So Magnum guy and I say we’ll help him pick up the bike but he’s really slow and just kind of acting funny. When he finally gets up, the three of us pick up the bike and get the kickstand down. The old guy declines our offer to push his bike to the side and there are hundreds of cars backed up in all directions waiting for us and not one other person stepped in the help. Then another guy in motorcycle gear walks over from the nearby gas station and starts berating the guy for not coming to the gas station when he beeped. They were riding together. This goes on for a minute and I say we have to get out of the intersection with all these cars waiting on us.Old guy really struggled to get his leg over and when he was mounted up, his toes were barely touching the ground. He was teetering side to side. This bike looks huge and brand new before it got all scratched up. He stalls it 3-4 times and power walks it to the side of the road and meets up with the other guy. When I saw he was safe on the side of the road, I resumed my trip. If he didn’t have the other guy with him I would have stayed and maybe called the police or something but my kids were waiting for their food.Because of the stories I read and videos I watched on this sub of you guys helping each other, I didn’t even have to think whether I’d stop for the guy. It wasn’t even a question.Give it up or switch to a scooter or something when you are too old or too weak and can’t keep your bike upright or your reflexes are too slow. Don’t ride a bike that is too big for you. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/d44vkz/witnessed_my_first_motorcycle_accident/?utm_source=ifttt
