What do you ride, and why do you love it?

Simple question: what do you ride, and why do you love it?I recently bought a new motorcycle, and I don't have anyone to tell why I think it's so great. My girlfriend will listen, but after awhile her eyes glaze over, and I know she wants to change the subject. So I figured you all were probably as mechanically enthusiastic as me, so let's share!My new love is a 2006 Yamaha Roadliner S http://imgur.com/gallery/Qt37WWAI bought it on 9/7 and have logged over 500 miles since. It would be more, but we are entering the rainy season in southern Oregon. Not that it stopped me, I just did 102 miles today and got home looking like I'd jumped in a lake fully clothed.I love everything about my bike so far. Yamaha dumped a lot of money in these to be a flagship bike. The engine is a 113ci V-twin, everything down to the switchgear seems to be bespoke to this bike.The styling! Oh, the styling! Yamaha went to my favorite era of industrial design for this bike. Streamline Moderne. It's flowing lines and teardrops. The instrument cluster looks like it came off a console radio. http://imgur.com/gallery/Fg64F6WThe engine is monstrous. Twisting the throttle at 70 just whooshes you forward. It's like a steam engine.And the name. Roadliner. To me it brings to mind the open road, crossing the continent. A beautiful sunset on Route 66.I honestly think I found the bike I'll ride into the ground...
