Thinking on getting my first motorcycle.

Hello everyone 👋So I been thinking on buying my first motorcycle, a cruiser to be exact. I keep seeing 80's Honda anywhere from $780-$5000+. (Private vs dealer). I even saw a 83 vt500 for 200 , good body but needed electrical work and a friend told me it wasn't worth it.
