I’ve been looking for a used 2008 cbr 600rr for a few weeks now, and the serious offers that I’ve had my eye on are going anywhere from 4.6-5.5K after talking about negotiating. They also have below 10K miles. I will start taking to them for maybe a day or so asking standard questions and getting info on the bike, then I’ll ask them if they are willing to meet me at a shop/dealer or we take it there together and I pay 100 dollars or so for an inspection. I dont want to get ripped off and get a shitty bike, but am I being ridiculous for wanting s piece of mind that I’m getting a bike that’s in decent condition? I’ve tried this with 5 sellers, and three of them have told me no, one saying it was too much of a hassle, and the other two just reading and ignoring my message. I’ve been told and found out that getting a used bike inspected is the best and safest way to make sure you are getting a fair deal, but no one will cooperate. Could anyone provide me with any tips on what to do in this situation? I’ve already tried bikes that are farther away but I can’t really find a nice 2008 cbr 600rr within 300 miles of Houston Tx. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/db2gmy/no_one_on_the_used_market_is_willing_to_let_me/?utm_source=ifttt
