Getting smells out of a jacket?

Last week I made the mistake of trying to ride by the nearby lake at night and ran into a solid wall of bugs. I got COVERED I've since cleaned my helmet to the best of my abilities, and miraculously it doesn't smell. However, my jacket absolutely smells like death.I've tried washing it twice with no luck, even going a bit heavy with the scented soaps. Now it smells like death with a hint of lavender. What else can I do, if anything?
