Familial discouragement is on full blast. My MSF course is tomorrow.

I got the MSF course scheduled, I bought decent beginner gear, I've been watching "beginner mistakes and how to avoid them" type vids on youtube, then out of the blue a family member I rarely talk to sends me a video of that rider in Brazil that died as a result of a flying tire a couple years back. Complete with a fake looking head in a helmet on the side of the road. Then they send me a pic of my family (they live elsewhere) sitting around a table intervention style looking into the camera.
