TLDR; Guy drops my bike, not sure what I should do about it.So basically I see this guy walk up to my bike (I have an R6, my friends ride less sporty bikes so usually I'm the target for pedestrians) and he's eyeing it (something I'm used to) so I keep an eye on him, then I see him mount the bike from the right (wrong side) side, so I get up, and walk out there to ask him what he's doing. As I am scooching out of our booth I hear that slam we all know and hate of plastics and metal hitting the ground. Terrified, I turn and look to confirm my bike is on the ground on top of this dude. I run out there with half my gear on and I'm just in shock at this. He's already out from under the bike trying to lift it incorrectly and avoiding eye contact with me, I say "What the hell are you doing man? You just dropped my bike." and he says "Oh nah it wasn't me man, I just saw it on the ground and I was trying to pick it up" I'm like "Dude, I was literally eating right here in this restaurant watching you, I have 3 eye witnesses that saw you get on the bike and drop it." He didn't say anything so I shook my head and picked up the bike (correctly... ask me how :p.) He kept trying to leave saying he was going to be late for work, and that he'll just give me his phone number and we can resolve it like that. I called the cops and they didn't really do anything, just took the statement from both of us and my friends. I got his insurance policy number, name, and phone number, my friends wrote down the type of vehicle he was in and the license plate number.I called his insurance carrier and they told me they would investigate it, so now I'm just waiting for them to call me back. Is his car insurance going to cover the damages? What do I do if they don't? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/cssdsj/random_dude_dropped_my_bike_help/?utm_source=ifttt
