Is it just me or do people really HATE motorcyclists?

It’s so strange twice this week I’ve had coworkers (that know I ride) tell me that whenever they see people lane splitting and speeding that they would like to swerve into them and “take their legs off and leave them to die in the road.”Just a strange situation and wondering if people ever say things like this to you guys?I just laugh at them because that seems absurd that they’d feel so strongly about a motorcyclist having fun.
