Honeymoon period of motorcycles

It's been a year since I bought my first motorcycle; a Ninja 300. Not gonna lie, it's been amazing. My life has definitely changed for the better since I sold my car (it was dying anyway) and got on two wheels. At the start, I would ride at any time, in any weather for any distance. I literally found any reason I could to ride. I went on road trips, solo camping with my stuff on the pillion seat, I just had a lot of fun with it. But now it feels like I've settled into life with a motorcycle; commutes have become more stressful, you can't do any kind of shopping without doing some major logistical planning, riding in the rain and cold genuinely sucks, and I can't listen to music/podcasts while remaining vigilant on the road. More and more times I find myself wishing for a car. The honeymoon period is definitely over; how do you live with a motorcycle after the initial thrill of it is over? Or is my only option to get a car and ride on the weekends? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/cl1bf0/honeymoon_period_of_motorcycles/?utm_source=ifttt
