Going for miles on one of the most unreliable bikes

I have an 08 Aprilia SXV 550, have had it for quite a while now, and have rolled 5700 miles. (I know, Right) recently ive linked up with a friend who rides. and when i say ride, hes not your typical bar hopper. And afternoon ride is into another state then back. He knows literally every single good road imaginable withing 600 mile radius, becasue hes been doing it for the last 20+ years. Hell, ive only been alive for 27..... in the last 24 hours we have rode 643 miles of some of the best roads in Pennsylvania. He has a brand new 2019 r6, and has already put 4000 miles on it since late June, and he does not commute on the thing. Its crazy. We typically link up 3-4 times a week for a minimum of 300 miles each time. And we live 1.5 hours apart so just getting together is more than the average Joe's ride. Well get off work around 2-3-4pm and ride until 12-1am depending on work the next day. If were both off, noon-midnight is pretty normal.Ive decided im going to do this literally as much as possible, on my SXV. Just to prove it can be done, and these bikes are, and are not, as unreliable as people think. Oh, trust me, I know there is gonna be some ups and downs. And the maintenance, oh the maintenance. I have already been changing the oil pretty much after every single ride. Gonna call up AGIP and have them send me a tanker....oh, and fuel, i get around 29 mpg. My 3.17 gallon. 12 liter tank runs on fumes to turn 100 miles, where he only needs to fill up every other stop. But i love it. Wouldn't choose another bike.We ride hard on very curvy tight roads. We know our limits, and have many many track day experiences between us. . Were the kind of guys that ride pretty respectively in public, and push it once were off the beaten path. And were mostly off the beaten path, we avoid highways and straight lines like the plague. If you see two dude in full race suits, in PA,WV,MD,OH or anywhere else for that matter, flag us down, say hi, and even tag along. He is a living road-map and can show you the best roads you didn't even know existed.Im going to try and post up as often as i can, with wins and losses. Mileage counts, breakdowns, and other fun stuff. These pics, are a snip of the last 24hrs. https://imgur.com/gallery/Lq2BS5g (look at them roads!!!)Hope to see you out there.Be safe, life is short, so enjoy the ride.https://i.redd.it/9h91wfwagdg31.jpg via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/cq6mbe/going_for_miles_on_one_of_the_most_unreliable/?utm_source=ifttt
