https://imgur.com/gallery/6GupF3INow that he’s in his 80s my grandfather recently thought about riding again. Grandma, being the more carful of the two said no. They both felt his bike could go to better use with me. So I inherited his 1974 BMW R90S and Holsclaw Three Bike trailer. I’m very excited to get it road worthy again. The drive up to NY from SC was 15 hours of constant stopping and making sure the tie downs were snug, triple checking the bolts on the trailer, I’ve never trailed anything before let alone something I care so much about. 15 hours later, it survived. I’m gonna bring it to my buddies shop so a professional can fix it up. As much of a gear head as I want to be, I’m not. I’ve no patience and this is too precious to me for me to screw up. Can’t wait to have it running and shiny again. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/ca0rgf/my_grandfather_gave_me_his_1974_bmw_r90s/?utm_source=ifttt
