armor bodies repair

I just picked up a SV650 with armor bodies fairings. The upper fairing has a gelcoat crack approx 6-8" long but the fiberglass seems fine. Apparently the damage happened when something hit the fairing while off the bike. I'd like to fix the gelcoat and apply either a plastidip coating or rattle can paint job. Been researching a bit, wondering about the following.Should I reinforce the backside with additional fiberglass?Would bondo be the best option for gelcoat repair?Advice on plastidip (aerosol) vs. spray paint?Any other advise or lessons learned? The bike is in the track garage, so I don't have a good picture. This one gives an idea of where the crack is (red line)https://i.redd.it/g1796bzpmk931.jpg via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/cbp07l/armor_bodies_repair/?utm_source=ifttt
