Ninja 300 for track day toy, some advice?

Okay, so I'm 100% new to wanting to do track days, and currently I'm riding a Ninja 300 for my daily commuter. I got a pretty good promotion at work so I'm wanting to get something bigger for daily commuting, and taking my Ninja and turning her into a track toy. Now, I've never ridden on track, I've never done any racing in any motorsports (couldn't afford it when I was a kid unfortunately), so where's some good places to start reading on what I need to do (mechanically speaking) to get my bike up to snuff? Also if anyone is in SoCal, is there any amateur lower CC racing/track day organizations? I'd love to see what's out there for the smaller bikes, and it'd be great to pick some brains and plan out purchases as I go! via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/c632y8/ninja_300_for_track_day_toy_some_advice/?utm_source=ifttt
