Never buy motorcycle half helmets. Nobody thinks you're cool. You get more respect wearing a full face helmet by being safe.

The only reason I see people using half helmets is because they are Sons of Anarchy wannabes and think it makes them look like a biker.Unless you are a legitimate outlaw and don't give a fuck about your safety, don't buy them.They don't make you look cool. When people see you driving on a cruiser with a half helmet on, they think to themselves "wow, this guy really thinks he looks cool? Bet he'll look really cool when he scrapes his face off on the pavement!".I recently had a riding buddy who wore half helmets go down and lose 4 teeth and he got really fucked up. I always told him that he should wear a full faced, DOT (preferrably snell) helmet with proper riding gear but he didnt want it to ruin his look. How's he gonna look now?I think the only way to dissuade people from buying these stupid, dangerous helmets is to dispel the myth that they look cool. They don't. You aren't a biker. You aren't cool.
