Helping hand

Bought a second bike (Honda Superhawk) and it needed a bit of work. The bike was in the shop for about a month, finally got a call today saying it was done. I went to pick it up and all was well until it died on me on the way home. (15 miles into a 30 mile trip)I was able to push it off the main street into a small residential area.I wasn't able to start it up again and it acted like it was out of gas. I called the mechanic and concluded that it was probably the fuel shut off valve under the tank. Something I couldn't get to without some tools. He was out on another call so I was going to have to hang tight for a while. A few minutes after sitting on the grass waiting, a guy that lived next to where I stopped came and asked if I needed help. Turns out he was a fellow rider. I explained the situation and he immediately grabbed some tools. We worked together for close to an hour and got everything working like new again. (Vacuum line had fallen off the petcock)Anyway, getting to the point of my post- it was really encouraging to have a friendly rider drop what he was doing to help me out and make my day. I couldn't thank him enough. It seems like motorcyclists are always eager to help out one another, and I want to say thank you to all that are in this community. I'm sure most of you would have done the same.Thanks. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/c0ecs7/helping_hand/?utm_source=ifttt
