I (27F) had my first crash today after over a year of riding on a 125cc.I was on a road with a long winded turn, it was raining. Saw a bus overtaking (well it had the indicator on) from the other lane into mine. I braked harshly whilst turning (idiot!), didn't see the oil slick on my lane, skidded and fell. Luckily the bus overtaking braked.People nearby were wonderful and helped me get the bike up. No massive damage to me or the bike but Im just so embarrassed. Checked the bike was ok and rode to work later.I was planning on taking more lessons again to get a bigger bike and a full licence. There was a point were I started to feel like this couldn't happen to me since Im so cautious (having done over 60 mph on many occassions on carriageways). But now I feel like an idiot and just people seeing me as a chick who put herself and others in danger. This post probably doesn't make much sense, its more of a rant and I really hope this doesn't put me off riding in the future. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/bwn2lp/had_my_first_crash_today_and_so_embarrassed/?utm_source=ifttt
