Coming home from work, a simple 6 mile shot. One right, one left, three lights, a left, one more left, and I'm home. First instance was at the first left: 2 left turn lanes. I came up on the inside turn lane and the guy in the outside turn lane cut tight, entering my lane. I had my spidey-sense on high and as I was coming up from behind, I just slowed and let him merge. The second one was terrifying. The road widens to four lanes as we go over a freeway overpass (stays four-lane for a long way) I'm on the inside lane, balls out as Rebel 250 riders must. My light is green as green can be, but someone from the freeway off-ramp decides I don't exist. She (in an SUV, no less - all the stereotypes in play today) decides to make their right and what the hell, come into my lane.I'm an old man who got back into riding after 30 years. I've read accident statistics and watched a billion videos of accidents. Steel-toed boots, armored gloves, armored jacket (95° today) and helmet, every ride. No exceptions.I friggin' goobered. Didn't brake, didn't even hit the horn. I wiggled left, missed her by a couple feet as I screamed "NO NO NO" in my helmet, and whizzed on by.In a million universes , I'm dead, maimed, or trying to figure out how to get my bike fixed. In this one, I'm fine and my bike is a purty as ever. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/c00oh5/came_close_twice_within_10_minutes_today/?utm_source=ifttt
