Here in austria and the rest of europe theres like 4 entirely different licenses for motorcycles all with different age requirements and technical restrictions on the bike, and its pissing me off.Age 15: AM License, 50cc, 45Kph maxAge 17: A1 License, 125cc, 130kph maxAge 18: A2 License, everything <50 HPAge 24: Unrestricted License, any bikeAnd thats only a very superficial explanation of that system, the regulation actually goes much deeper than that. Power to weight ratio is regulated aswell, just for example. You can literally get fined for removing weight from your bike.I only have the 50cc license, i just cant afford to get an upgrade. The sheer amount of regulation thats supposedley an effort for "public safety" causes each of these licenses to end up costing well above 1200€, the 50cc one being the only exception for some fucking reason.I live in one of the most beautiful countries for riding, and im stuck with a 50cc bike just because sometime before i was even born, driving schools unionized for strict regulation to make some more $$$. If i get caught driving above my licenses allowed max speed, i get fined ~200 bucks and have to gift some more of my money to the government, aswell as hand my bike in for inspection which costs another 300 bucks. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/c3wy2s/american_riders_consider_yourself_lucky/?utm_source=ifttt
