Shifting on my R3?

https://i.imgur.com/wbBCBfP.jpgHere’s my R3, first bike, love itMy question here, how many rpm’s should I be revving to to get out of first?I’m also curious, when I shift in the higher gears while I’m around 8-9k rpms it’s a very smooth transition, the sound clicks right in and there’s no jolt to the bike, unlike in the lower gears. When I’m shifting from 1 - 2 and 2 - 3 the bike does a small jolt, am I not revving high enough? Is there a universal rpm you want to change gears for my bike? Or is 1st gonna require a lot more than 4th?I took an msf course to get my endorsement about 2 months ago and I rode a cbr300 (very similar to my bike) but never shifted up from 2nd so I don’t have a very good idea of how shifting should feel.Im very ignorant to the motorcycle culture so please excuse my possibly stupid question but I just want to ensure I’m not abusing my bike.Btw: my bike comes with a little led that flickers next to the tac when the bike begins to hit the higher rpm’s, should I just be shifting strictly according to the bike if I’m not sure what I’m doing? via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/bu6zkt/shifting_on_my_r3/?utm_source=ifttt
