Just helped a buddy find and purchase a 1980 CB750F cafe build. It was SUPER clean, properly jetted pod filters, ran like a top. Loaded it into the bed of his Tacoma, and took it the 2 hours home.We came to realize that we didn't have a proper ramp to unload the bike; I suggested that we back the truck over some stairs and unload it from tailgate to the closest stair set. He was convinced that we could use a long 2x4 he had with a box supporting the middle of the board, extending from the tailgate to the ground. We had the bike halfway down the "ramp" when the board slipped off the tailgate, sending the bike crashing to the ground. The sleek barend-mount side mirror broke instantly and about a 1/2-1 quart of oil started spreading over the ground. We quickly picked up the bike and lamented the oil, convinced that we cracked a case. The motorcycle is now sitting in his garage over a piece of cardboard to see if oil is still leaking from anywhere. I am so upset with myself because I knew using a board was a terrible idea, but I figured it was his bike, and if he insisted we do it that way, then it was "his choice."Bottom line, just wait and use the right gear for the job, or it will probably end up costing you more. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/buosqn/psa_use_proper_equipment_when_unloading_a/?utm_source=ifttt
