So, I’ve been workin on this bike for a while. Some of you may have read the issues I’ve been running into at just about every stage of the project, rejetting, lots of cut wires from the previous owner, generally shitty construction from previous owner that was going to build a chopper out of it, don’t get me started on the paint...Well I’ve been playing with switch options, fried one set and now I’m just requiring the whole damn bike so I don’t need to worry about the “right way” of doing it using the stock setup. I’ve already had to do some custom wiring for my digital tach, gas gauge, and headlights so I’m pretty much down to running a power and ground around the ignition circuit, wiring up my signals, and wiring the switches.Enough preface. As many of you may know, the design of my build is to modernize an old bike in a throwback concept. I want it to be custom without looking custom. I’ll be doing similar to stock paints and aesthetic that would likely come from the factory. In an attempt to retain that mission, I’ve been looking for stock or stock looking modern switches and finally found a seemingly well constructed set. Paired with a fuse panel that has bus grounding so that my modular wiring design can be accomplished easier and look pretty damn slick when finished.I’m pretty jazzed to be able to get the work in on it this coming weekend. Just thought I’d shoot you guys an update.Peace! via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/bufxlu/new_switches_showed_up/?utm_source=ifttt
