New rider. New bike. 1 death before 15 mile mark.

http://imgur.com/gallery/9ndRvgHSo this happened today.... Bought 19 Ninja 400 0miles. First time rider. At about the 6 mile mark a bird flew up out of the ditch. Flew low and right in front of me. I thought nothing of it. Figured it passed me. At around 13 miles I pulled into a parking lot to get a drink. Looked down and there was the bird. Right in the front lower fairing Back half and tail feathers sticking out. Front half melted away on the exhaust pipes.
