GS1100G: First Stage of the Build Has Begun

Alright, So I've torn all the body panels and fenders off, removed the electronics from their original locations, isolated a ground problem to the ground from the rectifier so I removed that, wired a new connector for the incoming rectifier, and trying to figure out where to go from here. I really wanna do shorty straight pipes but don't want to tune for it, so I'll have to figure out a way to restrict some exhaust if I do that. Here are some pics of where the bike is now, the previous owner was a complete idiot when it came to electronics and generally tightening down bolts which resulted in air leaks from all of the intake boots for the carb leading me to believe that they might be cracked or dry when really they're in great shape. I'm at a loss for how people like this function and have any running vehicles and now I'm basically rebuilding the whole bike. I mean I was going to do this anyway, but having to do it is a lot different from wanting to do it.Immediate list of things to be done:Clip-on bars will be here next sundayNew controls will be decided on by friday and be here by sundayDynoject Stage3 is going to be inevitable so that'll be ordered most likely next week as well and take up most of my sundaySome pics for your viewing displeasure (Sorry for the skull; I promise it's not staying, nor is the color): https://imgur.com/a/T8YXVqZ via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/bl5h39/gs1100g_first_stage_of_the_build_has_begun/?utm_source=ifttt
