Some background - been riding on-and-off for a long time but only recently got into sport riding. Got a Triumph Daytona last summer & loved it but it was too uncomfortable on the street, so I swapped it out for a Speed Triple (base model). Haven't done much track except 3 California Superbike School days, so I'd like to get a second bike to really get a lot of practice and track time under my belt. The bike would be track-only and I absolutely love the Triumph Daytona, but here are some points I'm considering:- Would like to have TC to potentially save my ass if I screw something up- Would really prefer to keep the bike stock (other than track fairings & some clip ons) - preferably NO suspension, engine, etc upgrades at least for 2 years (expecting to get in 10-12 track days per year).- Considered a 300cc but don't wanna have to upgrade parts and swap the bike too soon (because it's too much of a hassle).- Based on the above, these seem to be my options with some downsides to each:1. 675R (but no TC)2. R6 (difficult to drive well)3. ZX6R (are the brakes & suspension good enough? No idea how it compares with R6 & the Daytona)4. Street Triple (ideal, but no TC on the 675 models, would have to get a 765 which is more expensive currently)5. GSXRs: I just hate the look and don't want one (as unreasonable as that is...lol)Not considering any Ducs (Monster, etc) as they seem too expensive to fix when crashed. What are you guys' opinions on the above? Any bikes I missed/any suggestions? The key is it should work really well out of the box and not need upgrades (other than tires) for 20+ track days! People make it seem like suspension upgrades etc are necessary to not land on your ass but is that true? Especially if you buy a great spec sport bike that's pretty much meant for the track. via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/blfqcf/best_stock_midweight_bike_for_track/?utm_source=ifttt
