Sort of a weird fact: As a probability, riders wearing helmets in a road collision are more likely to receive an injury than riders who don't wear helmets. It's one of those inverse logic venn-diagram problems. The inverse result is caused where by riders who don't wear helmets are more likely to die and thus are not allowed in the injured pool. Riders who wear helmets are more likely to survive a road collision but are moved from the dead pool, to the injured pool. Thus because more people survive with a helmet on in a collision they are also more likely to suffer injury. (the painful byproduct of surviving a road collision)This just reinforces the fact that the best way to die on a bike is to not wear a helmet. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/bhe7sx/helmets_increase_injury_rates/?utm_source=ifttt
