Have any of you guys ever repaired a tire warmer?

This Saturday I noticed my front warmer wasn't getting hot, as soon as I peeled it off I noticed there was a bit burnt through the insulation on the inside and some burnt up wire. I haven't dug into it yet, but it looks like maybe I can just solder in some heating element wire perhaps? Or lengthen one of the element strands and reconnect it. Here is the smoked bit in question, they're single temp ChickenHawks.
