Long post sorry in advance.A Comfortable Cafe Racer. It's a oxymoron I know, I understand a lot of people are going to tell me it won't work but please hear me out.I am 28 years old average/small guy 5'4" 125 lbs, with an 24" inseam. I have a few injuries to my back, neck, shoulders, wrists, and ankles from my time in the army. I always wanted a bike while in but however everyone who has been in already knows the pay is not the what the commercials and recruiters would have you believe. However one year later I have nothing but time and weekly college classes on my hands. To prevent myself from being stir crazy I decided to go ahead and get a bike off craigslist and take the MSF. So I did just that buying a 2015 Suzuki Tu250x as I loved the old school look and how with it only being a 250cc makes it a great starter bike. All the while wanting to turn it into a cafe racer which seems like the perfect conversion project for this bike.My idea is simple - Create a customized to me cafe racer styled bike that won't strain or cause further injury than I already have.Mod listCafe style bars, customized seat pan, personalized to my body style pleated seat with cafe style in mind while keeping my butt happy, seat hump cowl, mirrors, headlight style, turning lights, brake lights, back fender (removing the back or adding a smaller verison), front fender (smaller), lowering the bike, changing teeth to better fit a higher speed, custom paint job, misc other finishes, custom messenger bag to fit the side when finished.I think it is possible even with some local shops kinda laughing at me saying a cafe racer will never be comfortable especially with my worn down body.Last weekend I had someone put on a set of AlphaMoto's Glossy Black Ace Clubman Handlebar Bars and Kawell Rear View Side Bar End Convex Mirrors and it turned out great just for a simple mod for me to envision how I want the rest of the the bike to flow.Pictures of Clubman Bar, Bar end MirrorsHeres the issue, just like everyone said it's extremely uncomfortable position to ride and when I check my mirrors I have to really lean over to see my intended rear view. I'm dreading I will not be able to figure out how to accomplish this conversion with the goal I wanted to accomplish. What can I do about the handle bars? Replace them with a drag, clip ons, put the stock back on?With the bar end mirrors, is this the usual procedure to see behind you (leaning and stretching your neck to see) or is there a way to angle them I'm just not figuring out on my own?I just need some solid advice. I really love the style and am willing to explore mutiple options. I just don't want me having a few sore spots to stop me from enjoying this conversion. via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/baulif/comfortable_cafe_racer_conversion_questions/?utm_source=ifttt
