What About Virago 1000 & 1100 cc as base bike? And Dual shocks vs Single?

Questionyamaha Virago's 750 & 700 pre 84 - which means single rear shock- are extremely popular as base bikes as apparently they are "easy to work on". But what about the other ones?I see tons of affordable XV1100CC post 1984 - dual rear shock - for sale but I find very little info about them.
