Doing your own forks vs. shop for a track R6

So I've got a reputable shop near me that does forks for $120 (if you bring them in).On the other hand, I've got a friend that I can borrow the fork compression tool from / oil indicator / seal pusher thingy. How hard is it to do yourself, and how hard is it to fuck it up? I've got a nagging feeling that if I take it to the shop I wouldn't feel comfortable pushing the forks to their limit since I don't know what they've done to them.At the same time, it's just forks.. right? via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/b5ashr/doing_your_own_forks_vs_shop_for_a_track_r6/?utm_source=ifttt
