So I legitimately want to know what people think. I know the general consesus is "Oh don't listen to other people and do what you like" and I am not interested in those. I am curious if there are older people on sport bikes here and what do they hear from other people regarding their choice of bikes at their age.So the things I hear is that people are saying that I am going through a mid life crisis. I am too old to ride this bike. Etc.Well here is my story, I basically grew up in a garage, been helping my friend's older brother tune up sprts cars, got into cars myself, didn't care for bikes and only naturally progressed into them after deciding that I do not have time or resources to play with cars anymore (many friends did so). It was a fun thought to realize that I can simply buy something that perfroms better and cheaper then a tuned up sports car. When I went to get my license people asked me what bike I want - I said do not know, I liked the cafe racer look and cruiser comfort, but tried them all and simply felt more comfortable on a sports bike, I rode a bicycle a lot and a sports bike felt like a closer feel to them. So here is that, I simply like super sport bikes. I like the lower handlbars and a clean tight packaged look. I honestly tried searching for another bike, naked, cruiser, touring. And there were so little bikes that I liked (I mean really liked) but while looking at super sports I will literally take anything 600 to 1000 cc. They all make me smile and make me want to ride. So basically I was like, I can't lie to myself and ride something I don't want to.I do not drink or smoke, I do sports, so maybe I have I am in a slightly better shape then an average 40 year old, But I am positive it has nothing to do with what I ride. Why am I writing this long post? Well because actually in real life I never talk for so long and I feel stupid explaining myself for 5 minutes about why I ride what I ride, so I usually shrug these thigns off and keep working. So I decided to let it out here and see what others would say.
