I am wondering if anyone would have advice on the best way to go about choosing different front suspension for a cruiser bike like the Honda shadow 600 vlx. I know this is an obscure backwards bike to be building a cafe but I have really been enjoying the challenge of making a ‘fish fly’ so to speak. I am at a point where as a fabricator, I am confident in modifications and welding but I just lack knowledge on suspension. I have a parts bike Yamaha thundercat and I want to use the front suspension if possible. Maybe someone here knows what problems I may run into or a better option to choose from. Can I adjust the length of the forks to better accommodate the front rake? Ive been looking at this chart but I’m having trouble trusting myself with the rake of the vlx. I’d prefer not to cut and change as to maintain a certain aesthetic I’m after but if what I want (modern reliable performance suspension and braking) is impossible with what I have, then I’ll do what I have to. http://ariesmotorcycles.com/fork-swap-chart/ via /r/CafeRacers https://www.reddit.com/r/CafeRacers/comments/anvltm/front_fork_options_for_honda_shadow_build_help/?utm_source=ifttt
