Bike died out of the blue, and now wont turn back on.

Hi guys, I own an smc r 690 '13 and today out of the blue it just cut out, no abnormal tempts, full tank (more or less) and from then on just died on me,no explosions, nothing weird, just cut out (checked engine switch) When it did cut out, every light on the speedo flashed for a split second.The bike wont turn over, but will try and start and with the ignition on, the headlight will turn on, but my display/speedometer is off/unpowered. When turning the ignition off and on, i can hear the bikes initial calibration. I am yet to check the controls such as fog beam & indicators.Something odd is that if I pop it in gear, with the stand down, it'll still try and start (when it should only try and start if its in neutral with the stand down).My guess is that its something electrical, but I really don't know where to start and I've not seen anything on the ktm Forums that relates (maybe I've not looked hard enough!)
