Seriously, this happens every day. I've been riding for almost three years daily in the Bay Area of California, and every time I am riding I find myself being followed very closely by drivers. What if I were to go down unexpectedly? I really am not surprised by all the accidents and fatalities we have every year when motorists fail to give safe following distance. It is most unsettling on the freeway. Yeah, put your 2 ton truck 15 feet behind me while doing 80 mph with your head buried in your phone. Don't see how anything could go wrong there. I usually pray that traffic will gridlock so that I can just lanesplit, but I usually move over for these kinds of people. I have accepted this as part of motorcycling, just wanted to know if you guys have the same experience and if it varies by region. via /r/motorcycles https://www.reddit.com/r/motorcycles/comments/9udmq6/why_do_so_many_people_think_its_ok_to_tailgate/?utm_source=ifttt
