I've got a couple:First track day, about 9 years ago at Lydden Hill in Kent, UK. Lydden is an interesting place, it's independently leased and run, whereas a lot of UK tracks are run by MSV. In my experience Lydden is less worried about rules and procedures, is often crowded (it's a tiny track that's about 1 mile long) and has a large group of regulars who take themselves fairly seriously. "Pikey" is a slur. It's not kind of pikey. My day went really well, I had more fun than I'd thought possible and managed to easily keep pace in the novice group, even though my "style" was downright terrible. I went with my best mate and we watched the other groups between our sessions, in awe of the fast guys.Last fast group session of the day commenced and three guys went for the same line into the first turn, colliding with one another, ending up in the dirt. All three rode back to the pits, got off their bikes and started fighting, fully kitted up - punching and kicking at one another awkwardly in their track gear. The mashalls intervened and talked two of the guys down, while the 3rd guy slipped away unnoticed. We heard more yelling and turned to see that the 3rd guy had walked over to the parked up bikes and had started kicking the panels off the the other two guys' bikes. They ran over and the three way fight began again. My mate and I had an excited conversation that went something like "are all track days like this??", "I know, this is incredible!".... Nah, it was just Lydden Hill.About two years ago I did a day at the nearest track to me, Broadford in Victoria, Australia. I was one of only a few people in fast group on a road bike, there was me on an s1000r, two guys that ran a similar pace to me on 1290 superdukes (one fucker was about 60 and was really quick, with a beautiful, smooth style) and their friend, an older gentleman on another s1000r. The other s1000r gentleman was a little out of his depth in our group, perhaps a bit of a liability. More of a sit-bolt-upright style, which contrasted heavily with the rest of the group.2nd session of the day and I was rapidly closing on him, when I rode through what looked like a cloud of pamphlets. Next lap around I was able to get a look at the debris on the track and was surprised to see that it was $50 bills, scattered all over the track on the entry to the last turn. With each lap the money was dispersed, but it was very distracting.I came in after the session and talked about it with the KTM guys who were pretty amused by the situation. Later in the day we found out that the money belonged to the s1000r gentleman, who's wallet flew out of an open pocket. He was not allowed on track to gather it until lunch, about 4 hours later and by then it was all gone, he lost something like $600. Not long after lunch he crashed his bike, too. Expensive day for him.Anyone else experienced anything odd? via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/9q1ihe/tell_us_your_strangest_track_day_experiences/?utm_source=ifttt
