Foolish to take my nice bike on the track?

Breakdown: I’m 30, been riding dirt bikes since 7 and sport bikes since 18 (600cc and 1000cc). Looking to start track days next year and take some classes on the track.My current bike is a 2015 S1kRR w/ 2k Miles. Half the people I talk to say it’s a great bike to start track days on since it has great electronic aids and the other half are telling me “everyone goes down eventually” at the track and I should buy a older (2008ish) Honda CBR to use solely for the track rather than risk my new bike.
