Dunlop Q4 vs. slicks

Hey ya'll,Wondering if anyone has used both extensively enough to provide some feedback on the performance differences between the two.I have been running Q4s on a GSXR-600 that I co-own (went half with him on it while my R6 is down for repairs) with a buddy who is new to trackdays and has been riding in Beginner. While I ride in Advanced, I figured there would be no way for him to get slicks hot enough so chose to go with the Q4, as I had been told they offered performance similar to slicks but maintained grip even when run more slowly (basically looking for my buddy to not be out there skating on ice in Beginner).I have yet to use slicks on either bike (have only run around on slicks when taking another friends bike out - on a wet track of all things) and have two questions:1) How does the performance compare to the Dunlop Q4? Lean angle? Gripiness? Wear?2) I'm going to be riding Chuckwalla all winter, and have never been on that track (in fact, all of my dozen+ days have been at The Ridge up in the Seattle area). I'm not sure how long it will take me to get acclimated to the point that I am running a pace where I won't cool the slicks down - I assume a couple days at Chuckwalla. Think I should just start out on Q4s down there? Or is cooling slicks down not a big concern unless you're running turtle pace?Note: I run warmers, even on the Q4s, because I don't like doing a warm up lap. via /r/Trackdays https://www.reddit.com/r/Trackdays/comments/9m2u91/dunlop_q4_vs_slicks/?utm_source=ifttt
