My good friend and co-owner of Janus motorcycles invited me on an Iron Butt ride on one of their bikes and of course I said yes. We prepped for a couple months and got serious a couple weeks prior. I rode 132 and Richard rode 068, the bike he rode from San Francisco to NYC in 6 days on the George Wyman Memorial ride earlier this summer. We started at 3:30AM on Sunday morning and ended at 3:11AM on Monday. Here is us just before leaving the Janus HQ in our hometown of Goshen, IN. It was a hell of a ride and I feel like I made love to a lawnmower for 24 hours but what an amazing trip. A great way to see the UP and Michigan. I couldn't have asked for a better riding partner or a better bike to do my first Iron Butt on.
